APNSIR Foundation proudly derives its name from Antarjyami Nayak, a distinguished Government
Officer who devoted his life to serving the most remote regions of Kandhamal, such as Belaghar,
Tumudibandh, Bilamal, and Guma, during the 1960s. His unwavering dedication to improving the
lives of people in these challenging areas serves as an inspiration for today's generation.
Renowned Gyanapith awardee, Late Gopinath Mohanty, paid tribute to his selfless work, stating:
"Sri Antarjyami Nayak worked as an Officer in The Purchase-sale and Fair Price Shop scheme in
the most backward Kandh areas of the Baliguda Sub-division... the work involved moving on foot
through Sal Jungles and hills infested with wild elephants and man-eating tigers."
